WANA (Nov 15) – The special envoy of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to Lebanon announced the delivery of a message from Ayatollah Khamenei to the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.

 

During his visit to Lebanon, Ali Larijani, after meeting with the country’s Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament, stated at a press conference:”We consider it our duty to support the people of Lebanon and their aspirations. We hope the situation in Lebanon improves quickly, and the dear people displaced from southern regions can return to their homes.”

 

He added:”The purpose of our visit was to emphasize that we support the people and officials of Lebanon in all circumstances. Naturally, we have also held consultations with Lebanese officials to resolve issues.”

 

Larijani stressed:”I hope the problems and suffering of the Lebanese people will be alleviated soon.”

 

In response to a question about whether Iran accepts Lebanon’s stance regarding Resolution 1701, he said: “We support any significant matter agreed upon by Lebanese officials and the resistance.”

 

When asked if Iran aims to undermine the document presented by the U.S. ambassador to Lebanese officials the previous day, Larijani replied: “We are not here to disrupt anything. We are focused on solving issues. We support the Lebanese people under all conditions. Those who create chaos are Netanyahu and his cohorts. Recognize your friends and enemies.”

 

Larijani also confirmed delivering a message from the Leader of the Revolution to Nabih Berri when asked about it.

 

Regarding claims that Iran has changed its approach toward the resistance, Larijani responded: “I think you take jokes too seriously. Who made such claims?”

 

On Iran’s message to Hezbollah in the context of the ongoing conflict, he remarked: “Hezbollah is a wise movement, and the Lebanese people are wise as well. They know what to do. While we support the resistance under all conditions, they determine their own course of action.”

 

When asked how Iran supports the Islamic resistance, Larijani said: “You already know how we provide support.”

 

Finally, regarding discussions on Resolution 1701 with the Lebanese Speaker, he stated: “He provided detailed and insightful explanations on the matter.”
